Donald Trump consistently refuses to take responsibility for his failures. In his view, lost elections are rigged, guilty verdicts are the fault of activist judges, allegations of misconduct are dismissed as hoaxes, and botched memorial renovations are blamed on vandals.
According to Greek mythology, Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection in a pool of water.
Accordingly, Trump only sees what he wants to see, lacks any self awareness, and would be the last person to admit that he, and he alone, is the “sick maniac,” cleverly referred to here.
He would never miss an opportunity to blame someone else for his own failure.
